PROPOSAL TO MASSIVELY INCREASE DENSITY POSSIBILITIES IN BERKELEY

If you are unhappy with the results of the vote that takes place tonight, our options are limited. We can do nothing, or we can take action to file a:

1.  Referendum – if successful, blocks implementation of the measure until the next general election, when the public gets to vote on it; or

2.   Initiative – the measure is implemented, but is subject to a special election for voter approval

A referendum or initiative will be hard, take time, take effort, and take money. We will need to hire a lawyer, find or hire legions of signature gatherers, and organize an outreach campaign. Are you willing to help with any of these things?
